My phone was stolen (lost). What should I do?

  • First of all call customer service of your service provider and explain that you want to block your number to disable usage of your SIM card. Also tell them IMEI number of your phone (usually you can find IMEI on your phone box or on warranty list) so they can disable usage of the phone in their network.
  • Register theft/loss on a nearby police station
  • Submit entry in our stolen, lost and found phones database and notify possible buyers from buying stolen/lost phones

I would like to buy a used phone. How can I know that it is not in fact stolen or lost?
There is no 100% safety that the phone is not stolen or lost. Usualy it is enough if you get documents of the phone (invoice, warranty list, etc...). If seller doesn't have any of the papers, you can call every mobile operator in your country to check if the phone is on some black list or something. Additional option is to check in our database using IMEI number (*#06#).

What can I do against the theft or avoid loosing a mobile phone?
